Professor Arne Ljungqvist Anti-Doping Foundation
Arne Ljungqvist has lead the fight against doping for nearly 50 years. Arne Ljungqvist is an honorary member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and former Chairman of the IOK Medical Committee. He is one of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) founders. Former Vice Chairman of WADA. He is the International Association of Athletics Federation (IAAF) Honorary Life Vice President. Arne Ljungqvist is a professor of pathology at Karolinska Institutet, where he has also been a vice-dean and pro-rector. He has also been the principal of the Gymnastics and Sports Academy (GIH) and chairman of the Swedish Cancer Foundation. He also competed in the Olympic Games in the high jump.

Håkan works as COO of Arvid Nordquist HAB and has held several senior positions within the Arvid Nordquist group. Håkan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Administration from Uppsala University. He is also a board member of the foundation.

Carl Johan is chair of the Department for Learning, Informatics, Management and Ethics at Karolinska Institutet. He is a licensed physician and professor of molecular and applied physiology. Carl Johan is a member of the WADA gene and cell doping expert group and was scientific secretary of the parliamentary commission Doping in a public health perspective (SOU 1996:126). He is also a board member of the foundation.

Staffan has extensive experience in the field of anti-doping with several years of work at the Swedish Sports Confederation and international doping test activities with the company International Doping Tests & Management, (IDTM), which Staffan founded. Staffan has been a member of the Swedish Confederation of Sports Anti-Doping Commission and an advisor to the International Athletics Association Federations IAAF. Staffan holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Reading in England.

Kristina Wiberg has solid experience of the anti-doping work and is Professor Arne Ljungqvist's personal assistant as well as the foundation's secretary and project coordinator. Kristina has worked at the Swedish Sports Confederation and has been a project coordinator for European Women and Sport (EWS). Kristina was educated at the Popius School of Journalism.

Melania Balseiro holds a law degree from Vigo University in Spain and furthered her legal expertise at Napier University in Edinburgh and Stockholm University in Sweden. In 2001 she joined IDTM, a company founded by Staffan Sahlström as an in-house legal advisor. In her role, Melania has been instrumental in supporting major sports federations, particularly in prosecuting positive doping cases and conducting corruption investigations.
Melania has been a member of the Tennis Anti-doping Working Group, where she has played a pivotal role in shaping anti-doping strategies. She has also provided training on anti-doping protocols internationally. Since 2016, she has served as an external advisor to the Foundation, bringing her extensive knowledge and experience to our mission.
