Gym chain SATS has signed a deal with Professor Arne Ljungqvists Anti-Doping Foundation to train their staff in anti-doping related questions. We were searching for a qualitative education for our coworkers and decided on the digital course “Dissa steroider” provided by Pure For Sure and the Arne Ljungqvist Foundation, says Johan Westberg, Nordic Culture and Academy Manager på SATS.

The problems with doping are mostly discussed in the context of sports, but in Sweden it is mainly an issue outside of the world of sports. Tens of thousands of Swedes are using doping every year, and primarily by those that are looking to quickly build an attractive body.

The course is not only about doping as it also covers unintentional doping. Today there are a large number of people that get doping or medically classed substances into their bodies through supplements. This is a major issue but the knowledge and awareness of it is still low, says, Christina Lidén, CEO at Arne Ljungqvist Anti-Doping Foundation.

The “dissa steroider” course is available in both Swedish and English and will be provide to all SATS employees in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland. The license is valid for three years.

We know that doping is a problem, so to address it with sincerity is about being professional and taking responsibility for both the health and security of our members as well as our co-workers, continues Johan Westberg, Nordic Culture and Academy Manager på SATS.

Pure For Sure is an initiative byProfessor Arne Ljungqvist Anti-Doping Foundation (PALJF). The Foundation is a non-profit organization whose main purpose is to raise the level of knowledge and awareness about doping within both sports and society at large. Pure For Sure focuses primarily on mitigating the growing public health issue of doping and unintentional doping by raising the level of knowledge through a number of different project and a unique educational platform.
