Professor Arne Ljungqvist Professorship in Anti-doping and public health at KI
The ambition of the foundation is to, together with the Karolinska Institute, create a professorship in doping, society and sports. The aim of the professorship is to initiate, develop and spread interdisciplinary medical and behavioural research within the area of doping, inside and outside the field of sports.
Professor Arne Ljungqvist turned 90 recently and KI is now working to raise funds to establish a professorship in anti-doping with a focus on public health in his name. A couple of weeks ago,an interesting webinar on the topic was organized, which can be seen afterwards. Also, KI’s president’s blogg on the topic is an interesting read.
