We have today received the sad news that WADA’s chief operating officer Frédéric Donzé has passed away. He died on 16 August 2022 after a short illness, aged 50.
Fred joined WADA in 2002 in the role of media relations manager. In 2011, he became Director of WADA’s European Office in Lausanne, before being appointed Chief Operating Officer in 2016.
Before joining WADA, Fred was a journalist in his native Switzerland, as well as sports editor for the Geneva-based newspaper Le Temps.
